Wedding with 'dramatic atmosphere' can be held on holiday in Cyprus
Loving couples thinking of travelling abroad, perhaps on holiday to Cyprus, in order to get married have been offered a few tips on how to make the most of a winter ceremony.
Helen Webster, editor of Perfect Wedding, noted there are several advantages to tying the knot during the colder months.
Perhaps the major factor in the season's favour is its ability to form a dramatic setting for marriage through light, colour and feeling.
"You can play with lights, you can create atmosphere by using candles," explains Ms Webster, adding this can also be achieved with the nicest scents from the time of year.
The reputation of Cyprus as a destination of love may be another draw for potential brides and grooms, as is its relative warmth even during winter.
Orestis Rossides, UK director at the Cyprus Tourism Organisation, recently said weddings on the island are uncomplicated and stress-free.
