Uefa to hold meetings in Cyprus
A host of people associated with football body Uefa will be taking flights Limassol to hold meetings there, sports fans booking last-minute Cyprus villas may be interested to hear.
Tomorrow (September 20th) and Wednesday are set to see representatives from 53 national associations attending a Uefa conference on the island, Cyprus Weekly reported.
The meeting is to discuss issues relating to the future of football, with presidents and secretary generals for all countries participating looking to take part.
Following this conference, members of the Uefa Executive Committee are then expected to meet between September 22nd and 23rd, once again in Limassol.
Updates regarding the Euro 2012 tournament and a fresh membership of the Uefa Convention on Referee Education and Organisation are expected to be discussed at this event.
Recently, Sophie Butler, a specialist in travel consumer affairs, told the Daily Telegraph that villas in Cyprus could be ideal for people seeking an autumn getaway.
The expert acknowledged that the island basks in average temperatures of 27 degrees C throughout October, with up to nine hours of sun a day.
