Tourists taking a day to relax on holidays to Cyprus?

People who are planning to seek a getaway in the months ahead, perhaps with a stay in Cyprus villas, can sit back, relax and enjoy the surroundings, but only after a few hours in the resort.

This is after a new study conducted by Home Away found that it takes holiday makers an average of 21 hours and 31 minutes to begin enjoying a trip abroad.

Preparing for a getaway, going through the stress of booking a venture overseas and enduring the journey to a destination all rack up time on the first day.

As a result, it is not until the second day that the average tourist can settle down and allow their body clock to get used to the new climes and take in a destination's surroundings.

Marie Chenailler, from Home Away, commented: "It seems we get so carried away with planning and researching our holiday, we forget the reason we're going on a break in the first place."

Holiday makers will want to try and get settled into their villas in Cyprus as quickly as possible though, seeing as though the Mediterranean island boasts four stunning Blue Flag coastlines - Phinikoudes Beach, Agia Thekla Beach, Kapparis Beach and Pachyammos Beach.
