The Sanctuary of Apollo Ylatis
Celebrated from the eighth century BC to the fourth century AD, Apollo Ylatis was the god of the woodland and the protector of the city of Kourion.
A bath complex, the pilgrim halls and a holy precinct have been discovered during excavations and are open to visitors looking to experience some of the regions ancient history.
The votive pit if the area where unwanted gifts were thrown by the priests and as such the areas are a rich archaeological source.
A priest's house also features the remains of an ancient mosaic and some pillars and after visiting this holiday makers can see the central court area that was used for athletics.
Filled with facilities for sportsmen, including more baths, the area also includes well-preserved dormitories.
Holiday makers will want to see the Temple of Apollo which has been part restored to give visitors and accurate picture of the surroundings.
