Sportsmen enjoying the climate of a Cyprus holiday
The latest star of the sports world to spend time on the island is Alex Arthur, the British boxer.
He has made his way to Cyprus for a three-week training camp to get in shape for his clash with Joan Guzman on May 3rd.
"Cyprus has the kind of climate that ensures that roadwork isn't a weather lottery," Arthur told the Edinburgh Evening News when discussing his training regime.
"I've been told that altitude training in the Troodos mountains in Cyprus will also help build up my stamina," he explained.
Holiday makers on a Cyprus villa holiday will find the Troodos Mountains a great place to go hiking.
Nine churches and several monasteries are dotted among the mountains and some are Unesco World Heritage Sites, meaning holiday makers enjoying long walks will get pleasant surprises along the way.
