Sir Paul McCartney enjoys holiday in Cyprus

Sir Paul McCartney has this week been taking time out of his busy schedule to enjoy a holiday in Cyprus with his daughter Beatrice.

The Daily Mail reports the former Beatles star spent time with the youngster on the Mediterranean island during this week's half-term break.

He recently appealed for the chance to lead a normal family life, perhaps indicating he would prefer a lack of press intrusion during special moments with his daughter such as their trip to Cyprus.

A fellow guest at McCartney's accommodation tells the newspaper: "It was his first visit and he said he loved it because there was no paparazzi. Beatrice was signed up to the kids club."

The legendary singer is also said to have eaten out in local restaurants and enjoyed the gym and spa facilities on offer.

According to a recent report by the Cyprus Mail, the island is ideal for older tourists, especially Paphos where tourism bosses have been seeking to lure visitors of a more mature age.
