Rent a Cyprus villa and join in the Aphrodite Races

Those heading off on Cyprus villa holidays next month may wish to consider taking part in a top sporting event during their break.

On November 22nd, the Aphrodite Races will be taking place, featuring a five-kilometre fun run and a more challenging half marathon.

This may be the perfect time of year to participate in such an event, as the weather in Cyprus is still warm and sunny in the autumn, but not too hot that runners will feel uncomfortable.

Organised by the Cyprus Health Runners Club, the races will take place around Paphos along the coast, which means they will incorporate some stunning scenery.

Competitors will receive medals for their efforts and prizes will be given out to the winners, while live bands will provide musical entertainment for spectators.

The event will be preceded by a pasta party the evening before, ensuring that runners get their carbohydrate fix ahead of the races.

Holiday makers hoping to enter the half marathon or the fun run, or simply spend a day watching all the action, could rent a Cyprus villa in Coral Bay, which is just a short drive or bus ride away from Paphos.

The resort itself may also be a great place to relax before and after the event, thanks to its beautiful sandy beaches.
