Pomos beach is hot and sophisticated holiday spot
A villa in Pomos could be top of the list for scores of travellers after learning of a newspaper's review.
Commenting on the resort in Cyprus, the Daily Mail notes just four hours from London is a place that is affordable, hot, cultured and relatively undiscovered.
"Here, the days fell into an easy routine of mornings spent idling on the shaded terrace or by the pool or hunting lizards, collecting jewel-like pebbles from the beach and scrumping lemons," the review states.
As well as Pomos beach, there is a diverse terrain in the area that offers the potential for walking, exploring and rock climbing.
It is also worth considering Cyprus as a destination that will offer fine food and drink, with seafood said to be a speciality.
Meanwhile, those who simply wish to relax can choose from a range of villas with pools around the country's historic coast.
Sophie Butler, writing recently for the Telegraph, suggested Mediterranean spots such as Cyprus are ideal for autumn breaks as they tend to be quieter from mid-September.
