Plenty of picturesque religious sites available around Cyprus villas
Culture and history are two elements which are in abundance for holiday makers who seek out Cyprus villas in Larnaca.
The city is bustling with atmospheric sights to explore, with the Hala Sultan Tekke venue an ideal starting point for those hoping to learn more about the island's link to Islam.
Located among the backdrop of Larnaca's wondrous Salt Lake, the Islamic shrine was erected sometime in the 1700s and is unique in that it is dedicated to Umm Haram, aunt of an associate of the Prophet Mohammed.
Another link to religion in Larnaca is that of the Agios Lazaros Church, a structure which dates back to the ninth century and is decorated in eye-catching Baroque iconostasis.
As well as honouring both the Old and New Testaments with stunning representations, tourists visiting villas in Cyprus may also want to note that the tomb of Saint Lazarus is located below the sanctuary.
