Oldest-ever temple found in Cyprus?

Visitors staying at a Cyprus villa could visit the site of the newly-discovered temple, which experts believe could be 4,000 years old.

"This confirms that religious worship in Cyprus began much earlier than previously believed," expert Maria Rosaria Belgiorno told the Associated Press.

Cyprus has a long history and the island is full of beautiful reminders of the past, with historical artefacts over 9,000 years old having been found in the country.

It is filled with remnants of Roman settlements and Greek temples, making a stay at a Cyprus villa an exciting and unusual cultural experience.

Perhaps the most famous of Cyprus' treasures is Aphrodite's Rock, which is said to be the place where the legendary goddess emerged from the waves.
