October brings art festival to Cyprus holidays

Described by events guide What's On When as "one of the most important cultural events on the Greek part of Cyprus", the festival welds ballet, art, theatre, opera, music and cinema into a wide-ranging timetable of cultural delights.

And people incorporating the festival into their Cyprus holiday should also get a taste of the island's heritage.

The word Kypria means Cypriots and as such, the festival is underpinned by a commitment to reviving authentic traditions from the island's fascinating history.

Distinguished artists are reportedly set to perform at the event, not just from Cyprus but from all over the world.

Meanwhile, a recent report in the Galway Advertiser noted that Cyprus holidays are a good year-round option, as the island enjoys some 340 days of sun in a typical year.
