Northern Cyprus is a "delight" for those staying in luxury villas
People staying in villas in Cyprus may wish to consider visiting the northern part of the Mediterranean island, after it won rave reviews from one travel writer.
Joanna Tweedy, penning a piece for the Daily Mail, says it has traditionally been the southern part of the resort that has pulled in the largest number of tourists.
However, this can arguably enhance the quality of time in the north, with crowds of people not an issue in this part of the landmass.
"The fact northern Cyprus isn't internationally acknowledged has much to do with why you'll have a great time here," the expert states.
Ms Tweedy points out Kyrenia as a spot well worth visiting, as it lies only a short distance from Turkey and Syria, meaning it has a more diverse culture than is usually found in the Mediterranean.
Sir Paul McCartney recently illustrated the quality of holidays in Cyprus by opting to take one with his daughter during the half-term break, according to the publication.
