New exhibition to open in Cyprus
The gallery will be showcasing the works of Ioanna Philippou, a young artist who is famous in Cyprus for producing the caricatures in the newspaper Politis, Cyprus Events reports.
"She draws inspiration from everyday life and creates paintings with strong and glaring colours depicting fantastic and strange worlds," the site says.
It adds that this will be the artist's first solo exhibition - with works created during the last three years so holiday makers could catch a glimpse of the paintings of a rising star.
The opening will take place on May 20th and the exhibition will run until June 6th in Nicosia.
Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus and could be a great day out for anyone renting a villa in the tranquil and traditional village of Argaka allowing them to see both sides of the beautiful island.
