New Aegean flights open up Cyprus villas to more Brits

British holiday makers are set to be given more opportunities to visit villas in Cyprus, thanks to the launch of more flights to the destination.

Greek airline Aegean has announced that it is to launch direct daily voyages from Larnaca to London Heathrow.

The first of these flights will be launched on March 27th, with one flight each day giving tourists more chances to sample the sights of the east coast of Cyprus.

Dimitris Gerogiannis, managing director of the carrier, commented: "Our presence in Cyprus has matured to the point that we can offer direct flights to more destinations in Greece, but also for the first time to the biggest European destination, London."

One location which people visiting Cyprus may want to check out is the Elea Golf Club, after it was recently praised by Golf.co.uk.

Designed and opened by British golf legend Nick Faldo, the location features a wealth of "eco-credentials", as well as having the added benefit of being on the backdrop of the eastern Mediterranean Sea, the news source noted.
