Music fans to unite in Cyprus

Organised by the Pharos Arts Foundation, the event will see composers and performers from around the world gather in the city to perform various 20th and 21st century compositions.

Five concerts will take place over five evenings from August 26th to 30th at the Shoe Factory, which is described as an intimate venue that is ideal for such performances.

There will be a number of classic 20th century masterpieces on the programme, while audiences can also hear plenty of new contemporary musical talent.

In addition, budding musicians and composers will be able to attend workshops and masterclasses being held in Nicosia

Those who want to head to the city for the festival could rent Cyprus villas in Protaras on the east side of the island.

The resort is popular with families thanks to its sandy beach and its array of shops, bars and restaurants.
