Cyprus will not disappoint travellers looking to learn some history and a visit to Paphos is the perfect opportunity.

The mosaics of Paphos are considered to be some of the finest in the Mediterranean and depicting scenes from Greek mythology they are a great source of interest for the knowledge hungry traveller.

The House of Dionysus features mosaic decorations that date back to the second century AD as do the mosaics in the House of Theseus.

Geometrical decorations and mythical representations theme the house and 'Theseus killing the Minotaur' and the 'Achilles birth' are two pieces you won't want to miss.
