Holiday villas in Cyprus 'can cater for any individual'

A holiday in Cyprus can cater for those seeking a relaxing trip or an adventurous get away alike.

This is according to a writer at the Shropshire Star, who acknowledged that the eastern Mediterranean island boasts a range of spectacular views, such as glorious sunsets, as well as lush green vineyards to explore.

For those hoping to get their hearts racing while staying in Cyprus villas, tennis, mountain biking and horse riding are just some of the activities on offer all year round.

However, the writer pointed out that those visiting the destination should aim to look off the beaten track, by visiting such villages as Platres, Koilani and Lefkara.

The latter location is famous for the claim that well-known artist Leonardo da Vinci visited it to buy an altar cloth, which he then donated to the Milan Cathedral.

"Cyprus can offer something for everyone – as with many places the more you put in the more you will get out," the expert concluded.

Recently, airliner Monarch revealed that it had experienced a 165 per cent increase in the number of seats it had sold to holiday makers seeking out Cyprus during the summer.
