Go turtle spotting in Cyprus
Brits looking for a magical wildlife experience while staying in private villas in Cyprus should take some time out to visit Turtle Beach.
Located in the north of the Island, the protected wildlife area is home to both green turtles and loggerhead turtles.
The Society for the Protection of Turtles (SPOT) was set up to protect these species, which are both endangered, and offers holidaymakers the chance to get involved with their conservation work.
"This includes night time surveys, something which visitors are invited along to. It is a great time to watch turtles in their natural habitat and helping SPOT is a great way to help the turtles too," Jet2.com said.
The airline is currently offering flights to the major airports of Paphos and Larnaca as part of its big seat sale, making it even easier to travel to a family villa in Cyprus and do a spot of wildlife watching.
Cyprus' eastern coast is also home to deep bays with interesting rock features, which make them the ideal spot for snorkelling or diving and spotting some marine wildlife.
