Fall in love with local cuisine on Cyprus holiday
Foodies on the hunt for a destination that will satisfy all their culinary desires should book a holiday in Cyprus, if one writer is to be believed.
Mandy Wilks, penning a piece for Helium magazine, says those who have already visited the Mediterranean island are likely to have "fallen in love" with the food and drink on offer.
Its traditional fare is fresh and made from homegrown ingredients, giving a natural and unbeatable taste.
"Located where it is on the eastern Mediterranean Sea, Cypriot foods have evolved from a mixture of Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Middle Eastern, Italian, and French influences," Ms Wilks explains.
Some of the dishes people heading to Cyprus for a holiday can expect to try include patatosalata me giacourti, which is a local version of a potato salad that is often found on tables in the country.
A recent report by the Financial Times suggested Cyprus possesses an intriguing mix of beautiful weather and rich history.
