Enjoy some world music on a Cyprus holiday
Holiday makers hoping to experience some culture during a Cyprus villa holiday this month might be interested in an event taking place in Limassol.
The fifth Ethnic Festival began last weekend and will continue until July 30th.
Rila's Garden - a group playing music influenced by Balkan culture and traditions - will perform on July 13th, followed by Van Merwijk's Music Machine on July 17th.
The latter combine blues, Latin and jazz sounds with Cuban music.
People looking forward to Cyprus villa holidays later this month will also be able to see the Chris Byars and Ari Roland Jazz Group on July 19th, while Greek outfit Trio Tekke will entertain the crowds on July 21st.
The Ethnic Festival will end with a show by Manou Gallo and a supporting band on July 30th, which will feature African melodies blended with Latin and jazz elements.
All of the live events will take place in Heroes Square in Limassol.
The city is also home to several permanent attractions for travellers to visit during a Cyprus holiday, such as the ancient site of Kourion and Kolossi castle.
