Electricity boost coming to Cyprus villas?
People who are planning on booking up Cyprus villas in the near future have been told of the work going on to restore electricity across the whole of the island.
The destination's power has been hampered in some regions since a blast occurred at a naval base earlier in July.
However, the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has stated that it is looking to bring in an additional 100 megawatts to the country's current capacity by the end of next month.
Although not wanting to go into detail into the generator's total capacity, Stelios Stylianou, the general manager of EAC, commented: "Certainly it will be enough (megawatt) to alleviate the problem to a large extent."
Holiday makers who are still finalising their getaway to villas in Cyprus have been advised by a TravelBite.co.uk writer to take a trip to the island's Coral Bay.
As well as up to 12 hours of sunshine typically shining down on the area between June and September, the resort also presents a beach which has been accredited with Blue Flag status.
