Discover some new art on a Cyprus villa holiday

People with an interest in art will be able to visit a new exhibition during Cyprus villa holidays in April.

Skylines, a showcase of work by the Dutch painter Joep Klinkenbijl, will open at the Forza 9 gallery in Paphos on April 11th and run until April 30th.

Klinkenbijl began experimenting with painting 14 years ago and is entirely self-taught.

Introducing the exhibition, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation states that the artist has developed a "unique" and "instantly recognisable" style.

People on Cyprus villa breaks will be able to visit the Forza 9 gallery to see a wide selection of paintings, including portrayals of abstracted buildings and their reflections in water.

There will be several events taking place in Paphos, a popular Cyprus holiday location, over the coming year, including the Aphrodite Festival.

Due to take place at the town's medieval fort from September 3rd to 5th, the festival will feature a performance of Giacomo Puccini's classic opera La Boheme.
