Discover Cypriot history by taking holidays to Paphos
Tourists who are taking up a stay in Cyprus villas in the near future and are hoping to discover more of the island during their visit have tow fascinating sights to seek out.
A fun-filled day can be had on the Mediterranean island by undertaking a trip to the Agios Neofytos Monastery.
Found in the Cypriot city of Paphos, the site was founded back in the 12th century and houses an eye-catching church and a fascinating museum.
Guests to the Agios Neofytos Monastery can also glimpse upon a host of archaic manuscripts, holy utensils, Cypriot pottery and jewellery.
Before leaving Paphos, holiday makers would be wise to also take in the Ethnographical Museum.
Entering the building will give people the chance to gain more knowledge on the variety of cultures which have lived in Cyprus since the Neolithic times.
Items on show include traditional Lefkara lace and clothing, an array of pottery dating back to the 19th century and cases of fossils, coins and jewellery.
