Cyprus villas 'surrounded by wonderful walking trails'

Brits have been told of the appeal of booking up villas in Cyprus, following two events that were held in the UK by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation and the Association of Greek Cypriot Travel Agents.

Entitled Cyprus Evenings, the pair of meetings took place at Hanbury Manor in Ware and Manchester's Lowry Hotel earlier this month.

Those who attended the event were treated to two Cypriot cocktails, the traditional Brandy Sour and the pomegranate-mixed Aphrodini – both of which could prove tasty when relaxing on the balconies of Cyprus villas.

Orestis Rossides, director of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation, hyped up the appeal of the island, by saying: "Due to the fact that we have such wonderful walking trails and cycling routes, there has been a phenomenal increase in the special interest sector from both the UK and other European markets."

Cyprus has also proved a popular getaway for Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre, who jetted out to the destination's resort of Larnaca recently to take a break from the showbiz scene.
