Cyprus villas could be reached from Glasgow airport

Holiday makers living in Glasgow may soon be receiving more chances to jet off to Cyprus villas.

That is because Jet2 is to offer its first flights from the Scottish city's airport, with Cyprus proving to be among the most popular destinations from the travel hub.

Seven locations have been offered from Glasgow, with the holiday hotspot's area of Paphos among these, along with places in Spain, Turkey, France and the Algarve.

Ian Doubtfire, managing director of Jet2, commented: "The people of Glasgow love Spain and Cyprus and the customer feedback is very positive."

Amanda McMillan, the boss of Glasgow Airport, also noted that she had been "very encouraged" by the amount of attraction to the offered destinations.

In further good news to those seeking out villas in Cyprus, Greek airline Aegean has recently announced direct daily voyages from Larnaca to London Heathrow.

The first flight was launched yesterday (March 27th), allowing Brits more chance to explore the eastern coast of the island.
