Cyprus villas bask in hot temps

Families who are preparing to take last-minute flights to villas in Cyprus may be interested to hear of the summer sun that the island is currently basking in.

According to statistics released by the Meteorological Service, today (August 9th) is set to be another scorcher for resorts all across the destination.

In fact, the organisation has noted that temperatures are set to reach heat wave conditions in some areas of Cyprus.

Marios Theophilou, a meteorological officer, has stated to CNA that the mercury in resorts further inland is expected to climb to between 40 and 41 degrees C.

Yesterday, those staying in Cyprus villas were able to relax in temperatures that peaked at 39.2C in the resort of Nicosia.

People who opt to visit this city during their holiday on the island are sure to be in for a treat, with the area home to such venues as the Lefkosia Jewellery Museum, the Municipal Arts Centre and the Museum of the History of the Cypriot Coinage.
