Cyprus villas: Larnaca to undergo improvement work

Changes that are being made to Larnaca over the next few years could encourage more Brits to visit villas in Cyprus.

A multi-million pound development plan has been announced by the Cypriot Tourism Board, with the schemes set to benefit the island's tourism industry.

All told, there is set to be 15 different projects being undertaken in Larnaca during the next five years, covering plenty of areas that could be of interest to those staying in Cyprus villas.

Some of these developments include a renovation to the coastal road of Piale Pashia, a walkway for pedestrians linking the areas of Pyla and Voroklini, an open-air theatre and a 900-berth marina.

Commenting on the plans, the Cypriot Tourism Board said: "Although Larnaca has always offered plenty to both its residents and visitors, this is being further enhanced with a host of changes the town has recently undergone and will undergo."

Peter Andre was one well-known figure to take a venture to Larnaca, with the Mysterious Girl artist choosing to do so in order to escape the celebrity lifestyle.
