People looking for a good chance of warm weather this spring have been advised to consider the option of a Cyprus holiday.
Travel guide portal Simonseeks said April can be a "tricky time of year for finding reliable sunshine", as even famous hotspots such as Mallorca, the Algarve and the Costa del Sol can be "cool and unsettled".
Those who head further south for a Cyprus villa holiday will be in with a better chance of good weather, according to the site.
Egypt's Red Sea region was also recommended, along with islands such as Lanzarote and Tenerife in the Canaries.
Simonseeks offered several other tips in its Easter holiday guide, including timing a trip to avoid peak travel periods that start when schools break up at the beginning of April.
People who are not tied to the school breaks were advised to consider travelling in May, which is described as an "excellent month" for finding good value on Cyprus holidays and other getaways in the Mediterranean region.
