Cyprus holidays 'ideal' for autumn
Cyprus could be the ideal destination for holiday makers seeking an autumn break.
This is according to Sophie Butler of the Telegraph, who notes that Mediterranean holiday hotspots tend to empty out from mid-September onwards.
During September, temperatures are still relatively high, but it is not so hot that travellers cannot embark on excursions to fully explore the region they are staying in.
"The sea temperature is several degrees warmer than in June. In Cyprus, the water remains tepid as late as November," Ms Butler comments, adding that the island's southerly location means temperatures are still high in October.
Plenty of events take place in Cyprus in the later months of the year, offering scope for holiday makers to book their Cyprus villas to coincide with one or more of these.
For example, the Cyprus International Film Festival arrives in October, while various sporting contests - including those involving sailing and rally driving - are held in October and November.
