Cyprus holiday 'perfect for golfers'

While the island has only three golf courses, another is planned for completion next year and the website said some of the top golfing names already have the courses in their sights, which may be perfect for a Cyprus holiday.

One reason for its growing popularity is the introduction of the euro earlier this year, which is drawing more European tourists.

The three existing golf course are close to Pafos on the Greek side of the island, the oldest of which – Tsada – opened 14 years ago and is located in the cool foothills of the mountains.

This will be opening a clubhouse later this year and beginners are well catered for, the report added.

A third golf course is located near the stunning Aphrodite Hills.

Paul Collins of Buy Association said recently that the Aphrodite Hills area is becoming increasingly popular among those visiting for a Cyprus holiday, as well as property buyers.
