Cyprus holiday 'is a hot choice'
People looking to escape the snow downpours and sub-zero temperatures currently engulfing the UK have been advised a holiday in Cyprus is one of the best choices they could make.
Agnieszka Gratza, writing an article for the Daily Telegraph, nominates a small group of the "hot" places to be right now.
She includes the Mediterranean island, citing the combination of its mystique and beauty with reliable winter warmth.
Indeed, the average December high in Cyprus is 20 degrees Celsius, which Britons may find particularly pleasant at this time of the year.
"Aphrodite's mythical birthplace near Paphos has much to lure the visitor: white sandy beaches, a rugged coastline, archaeological sites and nature trails following in the footsteps of the goddess herself," states Ms Gratza.
Another resort with plenty to offer is Limassol, which Cyprus Property News recently explained is due to undergo an €18.3 million (£15.4 million) renovation in the near future.
