Cyprus 'a pleasure to explore'

Writing for Travelmag, Iain Miller said each of the different regions of Cyprus has its own unique attractions, although all are renowned for their beautiful beaches.

He explained that the island is very tourist-friendly and has something to suit all tastes, with historical landmarks, great shopping and fantastic weather.

Paphos is a must-see area, where snorkelling is a popular pastime for beach goers, while the Aphrodite Hills are also a top attraction, Mr Miller said.

Here, holiday makers can see the place where the Greek goddess of love is said to have risen from the sea.

Families can rent Cyprus villas at the Aphrodite Hills Golf and Leisure Resort, which sits on this famous part of the coast.

It is also just a short drive from the ancient capital of Paphos, which is home to a number of historical sites as well as some lively bars and restaurants, not to mention more sandy beaches.
