Celebrate modern art on a Cyprus villa holiday

Travellers will have the opportunity to expand their cultural horizons during a Cyprus villa holiday this year.

An exhibition celebrating the highly influential and acclaimed French artist Henri de Toulouse Lautrec was opened at the Carob Mill gallery in Limassol on February 19th.

Holiday makers staying in Cyprus villas will be able to see the display until May 16th.

The show brings together a selection of approximately 130 original works on paper by Toulouse Lautrec, which were created between the years of 1880 and 1910.

Along with the likes of Paul Cezanne, Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin, Toulouse Lautrec was considered one of the most important figures in the Post-Impressionist movement, which began in the late 19th century.

He is famous for artworks that represent the unique culture and style of Paris at the turn of the century.

People visiting Cyprus this year will be able to attend a number of events on the island, including the Tour of Cyprus cycling challenge in March.
