Book villa in Cyprus and enjoy wine festival
Those spending time at a villa in Cyprus over the next couple of weeks may be in an ideal position to attend a prestigious wine festival on the island.
The 49th annual event is being held in Limassol, located on the south coast of the Mediterranean country, reports the Financial Mirror.
Cyprus's minister of trade, industry and tourism Antonis Paschalides will open the festival on Friday (August 27th) and it will run until September 5th.
Thousands of people are expected to attend, many of them perhaps taking time out from the beach while on a holiday in Cyprus.
The minister, speaking at a press conference, said the wine extravaganza has become so popular to the town that bosses will consider expanding it in future years.
Saundra Satterlee, writing recently for the Daily Telegraph, suggested the history of Cyprus is a factor in its widespread appeal.
