Book a Cyprus villa holiday and discover one of Europe's top beaches
People looking for relaxation while on a Cyprus villa holiday should look no further than Polis beach.
The Times has rated the coastal destination as one of the top European beaches worth visiting in 2010, allowing people to "kick back, chill out and detox without paying a fortune".
Fringed with eucalyptus trees, Polis Beach is about a mile from the town and also features a taverna, states the news provider.
For a break from the beach, holiday makers may wish to discover ancient monuments, churches and monasteries depicting over 9,000 years of Cyprus history.
Roman settlements, castle dungeons and old city walls are sure to impress, and a visit to Aphrodite's Rock is a must on any itinerary.
Complete the day by indulging in a lazy evening meal at one of the many local tavernas on the island. Feast on traditional Greek meze, freshly caught seafood and local produce.
