Book a Cyprus holiday and celebrate Green Monday
With the New Year fast approaching, families may be starting to think about their next Cyprus villa holiday.
Those planning to travel in March will be able to celebrate the Green Monday festival in Paphos during their break.
This particular event marks the beginning of Lent and sees locals hold a colourful carnival with costumes, food and music.
Kite flying competitions are also held, providing some great entertainment for holiday makers watching the festivities.
Revellers flock to the beach with family and friends to enjoy picnics of bread, vegetables and olives in the Cypriot sunshine.
Those renting their own Cyprus villas in Coral Bay will be just a stone's throw from Paphos where most of the celebrations will be taking place.
Coral Bay is the perfect place to enjoy a spring holiday, with plenty of bars and restaurants serving Cypriot and international dishes and a beautiful sandy beach where numerous watersports are available.
Paphos can be reached by car or by local bus and offers historical sites and lively nightlife regardless of any events taking place in the town.
