Authentic musical event for Cyprus villa holiday
A Cyprus holiday might not feel complete without immersion in some cultural activities or events.
June and July see the Music Days Festival at the Kourion Theatre, a 1,800-year-old amphitheatre built just outside cheap holiday destination Limassol.
The amphitheatre is the ideal backdrop for this annual Cypriot music event, which sees international classical and jazz musicians performing for locals and tourists alike.
Situated on a cliff top overlooking the sea, the venue is "an extremely romantic spot to watch the sun go down", according to WhatsOnWhen, which advises tourists on their holidays to get there early to make the best of the natural beauty of the place before the event starts.
Music Days Festival is organised by the Nicolas Economou Foundation, as well as other annual music events on the island.
The foundation was set up in memory of the pianist, composer and thinker whose ambition was to establish a centre of arts and science on the island.
