APOEL Nicosia drawn against Lyon in Champions League action

Following their success in the Champions League group stage, APOEL Nicosia will now take on Lyon in the tournament's first knockout stage, football fans booking villas in Cyprus have been told.

The Cypriot club fought off the challenges of European heavyweights Zenit St Petersburg, Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk to top Group G.

APOEL Nicosia supporters have cheered their team to home wins against Porto and Zenit St Petersburg, as well as an impressive victory on their travels against Shakhtar Donetsk.

In order to progress further along the Champions League though, APOEL Nicosia will now need to overcome French giants Lyon.

The Ligue One outfit are sure to put up a worthy challenge, seeing as though they thrashed Dinamo Zagreb 7-1 and pulled off two goalless draws against Ajax on their way to securing the runners-up spot in Group D.

People booking Cyprus villas can see the two teams in action on the popular Mediterranean island in the second-leg of the fixture at the beginning of March.
