Why not take a walk while in Crete villas?
Holiday makers who are preparing to book up villas in Crete for a summer getaway have been urged to go for strolls around the island.
A writer at Travelbite.co.uk gave the recommendation, believing that ventures on foot in any destination provide great opportunities to see its sights and marvels.
However, they noted that Crete is a particularly "fascinating destination" to explore, seeing as though the Greek holiday hot spot boasts a "rich and varied history" and has plenty of key sites to visit.
"The island has been colonised by a host of ancient civilisations, including the Minoans, the Romans and the Venetians, as well as the Greeks of course," the writer pointed out.
Some locations where Brits should seek out once in Crete villas include a route near to Polirenia that is home to ruins of Dorian and Roman interest, as well as the once Venetian-ruled city of Chania.
Recently, Chris Deliso, author of the Lonely Planet guides to Greece and the Greek Islands, hyped up the appeal of Crete by saying that it offers scenes that are unique compared to rest of the European country.
