Take holidays in Crete to witness exciting events

People taking trips to villas in Crete towards the end of the year will have a trio of events to enjoy during their stay.

The popular Greek island will kick off festivities with the Tsikoudia Festival in November, which looks to honour the strong distilled spirit that many of its citizens use when cooking tasty treats.

At the annual attraction in Voukolies, Brits have the chance to sample the ingredient when it is mixed with honey and a host of other products.

During the same month, Crete's city of Heraklion will be home to the St Minas Parade, which honours the resort's patron saint.

An array of dazzling sights are expected to be seen venturing through Heraklion's Kalokerinou Street during the event.

Brits may also want to be booked into Crete villas for December 6th, when the destination joins the rest of Greece in celebrating St Nikolaos Day.

The island's resort of Agios Nikolaos could be the ideal place to be for this celebration, seeing as though the saint also happens to be the city's patron.
