Sultana Festival returns to Crete
Those renting a villa in Crete this summer could book a date in their holiday diary to visit Sitia and its annual Sultana Festival, which may be a fruity occasion for all the family.
Sitia is famous for its sultanas and its favoured export is celebrated every year with dancing and sultana-inspired gastronomic delights, so it could be a great time to take a Crete holiday.
Anyone renting a villa in the prestigious resort of Elounda could hop in their hire car and set off for Sitia, while on other days they can relax in stunning surroundings.
The Domes of Elounda resort may have everything that a family wants - including bars, restaurants, a kids club, pools and even a private beach.
Fans of architecture may also love staying here as it has some striking features, such as domes and pyramidal roofs.
