Families looking to really splash out on their Crete villa holiday should head to the Watercity park, which is home to 80,000 square metres of aquatic fun.
Situated around 20 minutes from Heraklion, the attraction offers a huge variety of pools, slides and water-based games for family enjoyment.
It has all the water park staples, such as a wave pool, a Lazy River and a Kamikaze flume, as well as several rides unique to Watercity.
These include the Body Slide Cyclone, the Hydro Tubes, the Hyper Race, the Sidewinder and the Turbo Guns.
There are also two dedicated children's pools and areas for relaxation, as well as numerous eateries and bars.
Mums and dads can chill out in the Coffee Place while their children play nearby, or the whole family could take time out and enjoy a delicious lunch in the Grill Bar.
Those renting Crete villas in the resort of Bali will be able to travel to Watercity easily by car.
Bali is set around three bays, one of which has a fishing harbour. Numerous water sports and boating trips are available here as well.
