Musical treats for those booking up Crete villas

Those with a keen ear for music should be sure to snap up villas in Crete throughout 2012, with the Greek island host to two entertaining events in the coming months.

Kicking off proceedings at the start of the summer is the Casa dei Mezzo Music Festival, which is a must-see for classical music fans.

Presented across a six-day programme in June, the event is set to see a variety of well-known musicians visiting the Crete resort of Makrigialos to showcase their skills.

All holiday makers will likely find something to enjoy during the Casa dei Mezzo Music Festival, seeing as though sets range from those with classical music connoisseurs to others with beginners taking to the stage.

Towards the end of summer in August, Crete will once more be awash with the sound of music, this time in the form of the Paleohora Music Festival.

People visiting the village during the first ten days of the month for the attraction are sure to be entertained with an array of song contests and soothing concert performances.

The small setting of Paleohora also means that holiday makers can enjoy all the action within an intimate party atmosphere.
