Is Aniston planning a Crete villa holiday?
Former Friends star Aniston's father was born in Crete and she now wants to visit her ancestral home to connect with her heritage - and potentially enjoy the sun and sea too.
"She can't wait to see where her ancestors lived and learn about her heritage. She wants to do it before she turns 40 next year," said a source.
As the largest island in Greece, Crete offers visitors on Crete villa holidays the spectacle of a 1,000 kilometre-long coastline, exquisite bays, crystalline seas and smooth sandy beaches.
Aniston's historical sensibility should not be disappointed and if she so wished the actress could explore heritage beyond her own family's - Crete is home to the Minoan civilisation, whose life can be explored at Knossos and other archaeological hotspots
