International art festival in Crete
Taking place at the Neoria Exhibition Space in June, the festival features paintings, mixed media, sculpture, photography, digital art and installations are all included meaning there is something for everyone.
The multi-ethnic exhibition aims to highlight the role of art as a means of understanding between people of different cultures and on a lighter note it will give visitors the chance to understand more about Crete.
Holiday makers looking for a more active approach to their holiday can experience the surrounding countryside by walking.
The island also features many different archaeological sites for anyone looking for more tradition and culture.
Ancient legend tells of the Minotaur, a half man, half bull creature that lived on the island in a maze.
Holiday makers can visit the ancient site where this maze was placed and see the ruins that remain today in the palace of Knossos.
