Holiday in Crete 'is everything the brochures show and more'
Tourists flicking through the latest glossy magazines and brochures who find themselves tempted by a holiday in Crete have been told the reality is even more spectacular than any publication can show.
A writer for the Sheffield Telegraph recalls her experiences on the Mediterranean island, claiming they were better than she could have imagined.
The author explains the weather repeatedly hit 100 degrees Fahrenheit, making for a warm and enjoyable break.
Among the highlights of spending time in this part of the world is a visit to the Knossos site, which is described as one of the "key archaeological centres" of the planet.
There were also plenty of shops and restaurants on hand for those who love to indulge in a little retail therapy, or simply munch on a traditional and tasty meal.
Christine Marlow recently wrote a letter to the Daily Telegraph nominating a holiday in Crete as her favourite travel option of all.
