Greece villa holidays 'offer variety for tourists'
Brits who are going on Greece villa holidays this summer will have plenty to see and do while enjoying their getaway.
Sofia Panagiotaki, director at the Greek National Tourism Organisation, believes that the country proves so popular for people due to the number of activities available there.
She explained: "Whether [you go for] diving, countryside tourism, nautical tourism, sea sport facilities or skiing and snowboarding... I would say variety is Greece's comparative advantage."
For holiday makers hoping to explore some of the history of Greece while staying in some of the country's villas, Ms Panagiotaki has advised on a trip to Mount Olympus – "the mythic palace of the 12 Gods of the Greek Mythology".
Brits should also not miss out on the chance of visiting Crete while in this part of Europe either, with George Nikitiades, deputy minister of culture and tourism, believing the island caters to all tourists' tastes.
