Cost of holiday in Crete 'is falling'
There has been a drop in prices for those travelling to Crete for a holiday, making a break on the island more affordable than in recent times.
That is the view of Nadine Hallak, marketing and PR executive at Cheapflights Media, who says the decline in costs presents a "perfect opportunity" for people to visit the historic destination.
Such a reduction may be felt in all aspects of the trip from flights to accommodation and food.
Indeed, a recent trivago report on places to stay found prices fell by 26 per cent in October compared with the previous month.
Ms Hallak notes: "As we're now in the shoulder season, not only does this mean lower prices, it also means less crowding, making for a more relaxing holiday."
One option for holiday makers may be to splash out on a luxury villa in Crete to ensure their break is a success.
