A Crete villa holiday offers "wonderful adventures on foot"

The Hellenic News of America reports that with six mountain ranges of offer on the island the "choices of wonderful adventures on foot are vast and varied".

Although the Samara Gorge is the most iconic, the Imbros Gorge also attracts a number of tourists and is described as "a very pleasant walk".

The publication states that the walk begins at an altitude of approximately 2,600 feet, lasts three miles and is a pleasant and smooth but steep walk.

"The ravine is rocky, but there are cypress, fig, and almond trees and many lovely flowers. Visually, it is a most enjoyable walk," it claims.

A Crete holiday can cater for almost any taste with many areas that remain untouched by tourism for people to explore and get back to nature.
