The old village of Auribeau is perched on a ridge at the entrance to the Gorges de la Siagne, and is very picturesque and typical of this delightful region. Lesser known than its famous neighbours such as Grasse and Mougins, the village is calm in the summer, even though located only a short drive from the city of Cannes. There are some very pretty streets between the old buildings, with a carefully restored 18th century church at the top of the village. From this high point, you have a terrific view of the surrounding country, including the Tanneron mountains and the plateau of Valbonne. Auribeau is half way between Cannes and Grasse and the sparkling coast is easily reached from here.

The village is charming, with cafes and outside tables adorning the streets, with the same clock that has been telling the time and overlooking the village since 1551. Traces of its Medieval past still exist, with narrow streets and rampart walls to admire. The church of Saint André, was built in the 16th century and the bell dates back to 1450. Superb beaches and seaside resorts are close by, such as St. Cyr and Bandol, and maybe even a day trip to historic Marseille is worthwhile from here.

The pretty village of Le Tignet is a small cosy village sitting just to the left of Grasse on the Cote d'Azur. A group of old and some refurbished village houses sit above the road, beside the church. A large and pretty olive grove along the back of the village adds a pretty and local touch, with the forested hill behind rising up to 680 m. To the south of the village, Le Tignet has great views, including the Lac St. Cassien and the coast at Cannes where you can see the Iles des Lérins islands. There's no commerce or shops at all in Le Tignet, local shopping is available just over 1 km up the road at Spéracèdes.
